Several days ago I was looking at Facebook, and on my linefeed I spied a free Level 3 web development course hosted by Code Institute. Before I can sign up to take this free course that is paid for by the National Skills Fund and Adult Education Budget I had to complete a 5 day coding challenge to see if I have the aptitude to embark upon such a venture.

I would like to point out that most of my blog posts have concerned the field of data science, and web development is totally different. The programming languages used in data science are Python and R, and I prefer to use Python because I can write code with a Jupyter Notebook that is hosted by either Google Colab or Kaggle. The programming languages used in web development are HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

I have a little bit of experience with HTML because over 20 years ago I had a website that I made using the Angelfire platform. The HyperText Markup Language, or HTML, is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It defines the content and structure of web content. It is often assisted by technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and scripting languages such as JavaScript.
