Since I have a MSc in Finance and am a part qualified accountant, I thought it would be a good idea to take a free online course with Coursera, titled Python and Statistics for Financial Analysis. This course is a bit difficult because it covers information on how to retrieve stock data from Google Finance using Google slides. This information gives a person what he needs to know to retrieve stock data from a company and calculate the loss or gain on the purchase of one share of stock.

Week 1

Week 1 of the course covered dataframes, importing csv files, plotting graphs, and creating the various columns needed to determine average share prices.

The course did not give instructions on how to use Google sheets to download stock prices, so this is something that I had to learn on my own and I have written a blog post on it, the link being here:- https://tracyrenee61.medium.com/how-to-download-financial-stock-data-from-google-finance-to-google-sheets-93a1e72b697c

A link to a post I wrote that is based on the course work for Week 1 can be found here:- https://tracyrenee61.medium.com/a-comparison-of-american-airlines-and-moderna-stock-prices-during-the-pandemic-5468eeb9d932?sk=33fecadc775a94ee12104b267c0f5613
