Member-only story
In August 2021 I took Kaggle’s 30 Days of Machine Learning course and learned a few things that I had not learned in the year that I had been studying data science. A synopsis of what I learned in the course can be found below:-
Day 1
On the first day of the course, the students were asked to open a Kaggle account, which I did a year ago. The students were also asked to enter the Titanic competition, which I have done several times, to comment on a notebook and to upvote a comment. If the students have completed all of those tasks then they would automatically moved from novice to contributor. I am happy to say that I have just checked my Kaggle account and have found that I am now a contributor!
Day 2
In Day 2 of the course, students were asked to perform some basic programing in Python, specifically in the area of syntax, variables and numbers. The code of the exercises I carried out on this day can be found in my personal Kaggle account, the link being here:- https://www.kaggle.com/tracyporter/trp-exercise-syntax-variables-and-numbers/edit
Day 3
The lesson on Day 3 was an exercise on writing functions, which sadly, I don’t write enough oh. The link for the exercises can be found here…
