Not long ago I carried out an exploratory data analysis (EDA) on the Titanic dataset, and that EDA can be found here:- https://medium.com/@tracyrenee61/use-excel-to-carry-out-an-exploratory-data-analysis-on-the-titanic-dataset-350197bf6d89
In this post I intend to show the reader how to create a dashboard to give much relevant information on the dataset. It is pretty well known that the survivors of the Titanic shipwreck were predominantly women and children, but it is nice to be able to prove it. The EDA proves that mainly women and children survived the sinking of the Titanic, but the dashboard visualises it.
In order to create a dashboard, I first had to convert the raw data of the Titanic dataset to a table. Tables are powerful tools used to organise, manage and analyse data efficiently.
The easiest way to accomplish converting an array of data into a table is to click onto Format as Table icon on the Home tab of the ribbon:-
Once you click onto the Format as Table icon, you will be asked to select the format that you want to use, and I chose blue in this instance:-
