How Gemini improved my coding proficiency while using Google Colab

I don’t carry out an incredible amount of coding with Google Colab because I sometimes use Kaggle’s free online Jupyter notebook, also owned by Google. I also practice coding on other platforms, such as R or Excel.

I have put some code in Google Colab and I noticed that Google Gemini is now installed on the software package.

Google Gemini came out into the market in February 2024. This large language model has advanced capabilities, with some of these being:-

  1. Gemini handles complex tasks, such as math, reasoning, and following instructions.
  2. As a chatbot, Gemini outperforms other models, such as ChatGPT 4o. It handles prompts, coding, and longer queries with ease.
  3. Gemini supports multimodal inputs and outputs, such as native image generation, controllable text to speech in multiple languages, and seamless blending of text images.
  4. Gemini can call other Google tools, such as Google Search, for more factual answers and execute code, enhancing its utility for developers.
  5. Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking showcases advanced reasoning capabilities and displays its internal planning process, providing greater transparency in AI problem solving.
