How I won my 21st bronze medal on Kaggle’s playground competition
On Tuesday of this week I entered Kaggle’s playground competition, hastily running up a machine learning program before I had to go to work. I ran the program up only once and submitted it to Kaggle for scoring. To my surprise, I scored 86% when the highest score was 87%!
I made a blog post on the program that I wrote for this competition, and it can be found here:- https://medium.com/mlearning-ai/how-i-used-predict-proba-to-solve-kaggles-stroke-competition-question-fb13c0545843
Imagine my surprise when I received an email from Kaggle telling me that I had won a bronze medal for my work!
Unfortunately I have insufficient time available to try to improve upon my score, but there are other models that can be tried, such as Gradient Boosting Classifier or Random Forest Classifier. Anyone is welcome to try these models out if they care to work to improve upon my existing score.
