How I won my sixth bronze medal by entering Kaggle’s 2021 survey EDA competition

Yesterday, being a Friday, I spent the day working on an Exploratory Data Analysis, or EDA, on Kaggle’s 2021 data science survey. I have never entered Kaggle’s data science survey before, but I have conducted EDA’s, so I thought I would have a go at this competition.

The competition required the entrant to write a story about the survey, which could be either on a macro or micro level. I opted to choose a story that was halfway between the macro and micro level, decided to conduct a comparative analysis between men and women data scientists in their sixties who are residing in the UK.

This morning I completed the finishing touches to the script and I had not even got around to typing up the analysis, so imagine my surprise when I had received two comments complimenting me on my work on the notebook I had prepared.

I had made my notebook open to the public, which is a requirement of anybody who wants to enter the competition, so to my astonishment I received a bronze medal a day after I began working on the notebook and it was not even complete at the time I received it.

I am quite pleased to have won a total of six bronze medals by entering Kaggle competitions. Now it is about time that I up my game and begin winning a few silver medals so I can show how I have improved my Python programming skills.
