How to make a screen recording using Windows 10’s XBox application

In the paste I had been using on-line screen recorders to record the videos that I put on YouTube. I particularly liked the on-line screen recorders that allowed me to put my picture at the bottom of the screen so my viewers could see who I was.

Yesterday I went to use the on-line screen recorder that I normally use and for some reason there was a bug in the vsoftware, which meant that I was unable to download the recording onto my computer. I therefore went in search of another on-line screen recorder and even found one that would record the screen but not my face.

I was a bit flummoxed by this because if I was going to go to the trouble to record a piece on-line then at least I should be able to have my face showing on it. I vaguely remembered seeing a YouTube video where a person could use XBox on their Windows10 computer as a very rudimentary screen recorder.

I have a new laptop that I purchased in the last six months, so I am assuming it is Windows10, so I looked on my menu bt pressing the Windows key to see that at the bottom of the menu I do in fact have XBox installed on it:-
