Large Language Models now have to get YouTube content creator’s permission to use their work

In a recent post I posed the question of whether large language models are going to steal my work in the future, and that post can be found here:- https://medium.com/@tracyrenee61/will-large-language-models-steal-my-work-3da94bd7b717

I think that I must not be the only person asking this question because the data that has been used to train large language models, such as ChatGPT, has been scraped off the internet. It has been discussed since the first large language model became available in late 2022 that the authors of the work that had been scrapped off the internet had never been paid for their work.

Imagine my surprise, therefore, when I made a Youtube video and uploaded it onto the video streaming platform when I received a message saying that I can choose whether I would like third parties to use my content, as seen in the message below:-

It appears that many people have had this concern because large language models are scraping data off the internet and using it with little, if any, regard for compensating the content creators. In addition, the companies overseeing these large language models are not checking to see if the content is accurate, as I have discovered when I used ChatGPT, CoPilot, and Gemini for research purposes.

I thought about it and I have decided that since these major companies producing large language models are not financially rewarding me or anybody else for our content, that I will not give them permission to use my content.

I just wonder how many other individuals share the same view as me.
