I have had an interest in artificial intelligence (AI) for several years now. Because our technology is advancing at an exponential rate, I thought it would be a good idea to refresh my personal learning in an attempt to update my existing skill set. I therefore came across a YouTube video on AI and decided to watch it to see if it covered any information that I am not already familiar with. The link to the video can be found here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xabR5c0LsYQ&t=1447s

The video is little more than an hour in duration and is theoretical in nature, not giving any coding examples. In addition, i found it to be very repetitive, covering the same concepts over and over again:-

Modern History of AI

AI is the science of creating machines that can perform tasks that require human intelligence. The term ‘Artificial Intelligence’ was adopted by the computer scientist, John McCarthy, at the Dartmouth Conference in 1956:-

  1. The first digital microcomputers were built in the 1940’s.
  2. The first microprocessor was built in 1971.
  3. The internet came into being in 1983..
  4. The first iphones were developed in 2007.
