For the past several days I have been refreshing my knowledge of time series analysis and forecasting by watching videos made by experts in the field. Whilst perusing the search engine, I found out there is a new library, Darts, which I wanted to explore.
I watched the video and attempted to try it out on Google Colab and even Replit, but unfortunately both interpreters failed. Darts is a new library and there is not a lot on the internet about it, so I was unable to find a way to clear the error on Google Colab. I imagine there will be more literature available that will allow for the clearing of errors so this library can be used.
There was a lot of interesting material covered in the video, so I will commence with the review nevertheless.
Why is there a need for time series forecasting?
- How much of each product should a retail company buy to ensure the consumer demand for every product is met without overspending and creating waste?
- How much energy should we produce?
- How much energy will we produce given a certain set-up?
- Will our current infrastructure support the traffic in the near and far future?
