YouTube video Review: Edureka Statistics and Probability Tutorial
I have been watching YouTube videos on statistics and probability to enable me to learn as much about the subject as possible. As a result, I have recently watched Edureka’s Statistics and Probability tutorial, and I wanted to share some insights that I have acquired from watching the tutorial:-
What is data?
Data refers to facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
Categories of data:-
- Qualitative is composed of nominal and ordinal.
- Quantitative is composed of discrete and continuous.
Nominal data
Nominal data is data with no inherent order or ranking, such as gender or race.
Ordinal data
Ordinal data is data with an ordered series.
Discrete data
Discrete data is also known as categorical data, it can hold a finite number of possible values. An example is the number of students in a class.
Continuous data
Continuous data is data that can hold an infinite number of possible values. An example of this is the weight of a person.
