YouTube Video Review: Statistics with Python (3 of 3)

In this post I will review the third and final video of that series.

I do not have a statistical background and I have never taken any statistics courses in high school or college. I therefore found the content in the three videos very informative and I hope that at some point in time it will help me to advance in my studies and maybe even career.

The writing below is covers the information that I picked up whilst watching the third video of this statistics course:-

It was whilst studying the course material, the instructor said that the only way to learn statistics is by doing it. I think that, really, that can be said of any area of interest.

The goal of the course is to learn how to fit statistical models to data to help answer research questions.

Why fit models to data?

  1. Estimate distributions, properties of variables, potentially conditional or other variables.
  2. Concisely summarise relationships between variables, and make inferential statements…
